As discussed in my previous post, a proper understanding of sales funnel, or conversion funnel is important in content creation and marketing. It helps you channel your audiences’ minds towards the purchase of your products and services. There are three different stages in a conversion funnel, and each of these stages should have different contents.
The first is the awareness stage, which is at the top of the funnel. The audience at this stage is only just finding answers to questions regarding your business. Hence, the kind of content at this stage should be more informative and educational.
The middle of the funnel is the next stage, which is usually the evaluation stage. At this point, your consumers already know your brand, and they are trying to find out if your brand fits well with their needs. This means you must give them reasons to move to the last stage, which is the purchase stage.
This is the most important of the three stages because it is at this point that the consumer will want to make a choice whether to buy from you or consider one of your competitors. Hence, your sales content creation strategy might include free trials, coupons, quotes or anything that will attract them, causing them to take the decision.
